Job summary

Advanced Correctional Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a registered nurse to provide on-site medical care in correctional facilities. You will assess patients, administer medications, monitor vitals, and coordinate with practitioners for diagnosis and treatment.

The role requires an active RN license in the state of service, BLS certification, and strong documentation and confidentiality skills. Training and potential shift coverage across facilities are included.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state where services are provided.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification with hands-on training.
• Excellent documentation skills as part of patient records.
• Knowledge of the RN scope of practice and professional standards.
• HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and deliver nursing care to patients in the facility.
• Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and orders.
• Monitor vital signs, glucose checks, and other on-site diagnostics.
• Triage and intake screenings for necessity and priority at sick call.
• Coordinate with practitioners and other medical services for diagnosis and treatment.
• Maintain aseptic techniques and infection control precautions.
• Record care information concisely and completely in the proper format.
• Mentor and train new hires and coworkers as needed.
