West PACU is a 26 bed unit that cares for inpatients and outpatients who have anesthesia for a variety of surgical and procedural interventions. The unit is opened 24/7 and works closely with the Department of Anesthesia. ICU experience is preferred for overnight care of many ICU patients in the unit.

The Clinical Nurse II utilizes the nursing process as the frame of reference for practice as a professional registered nurse and provides direct nursing care to patients and families. Training, evaluation and competencies for this role are overseen by a Nurse Leader to the department.
Competent to provide patient care to the following age groups: Neonatal: birth to 6 months; Young adult: 16–30 years; Middle age: 30–60 years; Elderly: 60+ years.
Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently. The job is physical in nature and requires standing and moving around through the majority of the shift.
$38.00 – $98.19 per hour. The listed pay range is the base hourly wage the organization reasonably expects to pay at this time. Actual compensation is determined by factors including seniority, education, training, experience, certifications, geography, job responsibilities, and applicable laws. Pay may be higher with shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime, and other pay practices.
