Job summary

Hemet Global Medical Center in Victor Valley, CA, is seeking a part-time Staff RN, PACU for varied shifts. The nurse will provide direct postoperative care, document nursing actions, and ensure safety and continuity of care following surgery.

Requirements include California RN license and BLS; ACLS and PALS within 90 days of hire or status change. BSN preferred and a minimum of two years in a critical care setting are preferred.

JOB TITLE : Staff RN, PACU

REPORTS TO : Director, Surgical Services

POSITION SUMMARY : Directly responsible for postoperative care of the patient. The PACU nurse utilizes the nursing process to identify patient needs for continuous assessment post-surgery. The nurse is responsible for evaluating and documenting the effectiveness of nursing actions and ensuring a safe environment and continuity of care. Performs all other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE : Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing preferred. BSN preferred. A minimum of two years of nursing experience in a critical care setting is preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS : Must possess a current California RN license and BLS certification required. ACLS within 90 days of hire or status change. PALS within 90 days of hire or status change.
