Elliot Health System in Manchester, NH is seeking a PACU RN to care for patients recovering from anesthesia after surgical procedures. You will monitor vital signs, manage pain relief, administer IV fluids, and document care to support a safe recovery.

This full-time role includes four 9-hour shifts with 9AM or 10AM starts, orientation with BLS and ACLS as available, and collaboration with physicians and staff to ensure effective discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• New Hampshire Registered Nurse or Compact State Registered Nurse License.
• Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period and maintain during employment.
• ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor vital signs and conduct assessments to ensure patient safety.

The PACU RN is responsible for monitoring and assessing the vital signs of patients, managing pain relief medications, administering intravenous fluids, and providing emotional support to family members during recovery. They also communicate with physicians regarding any changes in the patient's condition and may provide education to the patient's family about how to provide care for their loved one.
