Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to render professional and technical nursing care. You will provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process and support the hospital's mission and goals.

Required: graduate of an accredited nursing program, Texas license or eligibility, BLS, ACLS, with 12 months RN experience; PALS preferred but must be completed within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification Required.
• Current ACLS Certification Required.
• PALS Preferred upon hire but required within 30 days.
• Current license to practice nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so.
• Work experience: 12 months of RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment via communication, interpersonal relationships and teamwork.
• Assumes responsibility for the nursing components of the patient/family/significant other educational process.
• Communicates to the team, coworkers, patients, and family members and ensures understanding of information.
• Creates and maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, self, coworkers, and facility.
• Ensures complete, accurate, and timely written communication of patient information.
• Delivers medication and IV administration safely and timely to support patient care.
• Takes personal responsibility and initiative for performance and professional growth.
• Uses the nursing process to provide quality patient care throughout the episode of care.
• Other duties as assigned.
