Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the PACU Float team. The role involves delivering a full range of nursing care with clinical judgment and a patient-centered approach, using established nursing processes to assess and plan care.

The position features an afternoon shift (11:00am–11:30pm), 36 hours per week, rotating weekends/holidays/call shifts, with a $10,000 sign-on bonus and applicable shift premiums of 5% market premium, 2% weekend premium, and 10% night shift premium.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing within 60 days of hire date.
• BLS Provider certification by the American Heart Association within 90 days of hire date, or Certified Instructor.
• Graduate of an approved professional RN nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Provide full range of delegated, interdependent, and independent nursing services to patients.
• Demonstrate clinical competence, compassion, and customer service orientation; focus on process and outcomes.
• Operate within the Seven Dimensions of Patient Care and Benner's Domains of Nursing Practice.

Within the framework of the Seven Dimensions of Patient Care and Benner's Domains of Nursing Practice, demonstrates clinical competence; compassion and customer service orientation; focus on process and outcomes; and cost-consciousness when assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care provided to patients.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained within 2 Months (60 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Certified BLS Provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. Or Certified Instructor.
• Requires a graduate of an approved professional (RN) nursing program.
