Job summary

Prime Healthcare Services seeks a Part Time PACU Nurse (RN) to join its perioperative team at South Kansas City Surgicenter. The role focuses on delivering high-quality post-anesthesia care in a collaborative operating room setting.

The ideal candidate will hold an active RN license, BLS and ACLS, with PACU or Critical Care experience; BSN and CCRN are preferred. Day shifts, part-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Current RN license required.
• BLS (AHA) certification required.
• ACLS (AHA) certification within 30 days of hire.
• Previous Critical Care or PACU experience required.
• CCRN preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of patient care using nursing process in the PACU.
• Coordinate postoperative care with surgeon and anesthesiologist.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to physician.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure quality care and efficient flow.
• Ensure adherence to regulations, standards and hospital policies.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and meetings.
• Act as a resource for other personnel.

We are seeking a Part Time PACU Nurse (RN), to join our growing team. You will be a part of a close-knit, highly collaborative operating room team & an essential member of the perioperative team, who advocates for patients that are under anesthesia and/or sedation

Responsibilities

If you have experience as a Circulating Nurse, PACU RN, Operating Room Nurse or Surgical Nurse you are encouraged to apply!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities inculde but are not limited to:

• The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for all patients within the PACU scope of services.
• The Registered Nurse also coordinates the post-operative care of the patient with the surgeon and anesthesiologist, directs and guides other personnel while maintaining standards of care in the PACU.
• He/She communicates with the physician about changes in the patient's clinical condition including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and abnormal results and symptomatology.
• Works with other departments and co-workers to provide quality patient care across the continuum, efficient patient flow and unit maintenance and organization.
• Responsible for adherence to regulations, standards and hospital or unit policies and procedures.
• Responsible for participation in Performance Improvement activities, unit meetings and in-services.
• Acts as a resource for other personnel as appropriate.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Current and valid state RN License.

2. Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

3. ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.

4. Previous Critical Care or PACU experience required

5. Critical Care RN (CCRN) preferred.

6. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
