Baptist Health Care is seeking a Registered Nurse for the PACU department. The RN will provide individualized nursing care after anesthesia, monitor airway and vital signs, and collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia teams to ensure safe recovery.
Responsibilities include patient education, medication administration, and precise documentation in electronic health records. Requires Florida RN licensure and acute care/post-anesthesia experience; on-call duties may apply.
The Registered Nurse manages individualized, goal directed nursing care through use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures. This position provides care and education for the patient based on their illness, symptoms, and courses of treatment. This position is responsible for the delivery of quality care in designated areas of surgical services while meeting standards as set forth by the state, regulatory agencies, and facility policies and procedures. This position performs technical skills and provides assistance to surgeons, anesthesia personnel, and other professionals in the facility. This position maintains knowledge and skills required to perform as a professional registered nurse as well as those specific surgical services departments. This position promotes teamwork with all surgical team members and other departments. This position manages supplies and equipment effectively.
