Job summary

Apex Home Health, Hospice & Home Care is seeking a registered nurse to provide specialized care in the immediate postoperative and post-anesthesia period. You will assess, document, and communicate patient status in the PACU and supervise PCTs, CNAs, MAs, and LPNs under the Clinical Director.

Requirements include an active RN license, CPR, and at least one year of PACU or ICU experience. ACLS/PALS are preferred, and ASC experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Active RN license required.
• Minimum 1 year PACU/ICU experience.
• CPR certification mandatory.
• ACLS and/or PALS preferred.
• Prior ASC experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Organizes resources effectively.
• Assesses and documents physical and emotional patient status.
• Develops and implements individualized care plans.
• Monitors patient progress.
• Communicates changes to medical staff.
• Ensures patient comfort, privacy, and dignity.
• Performs postoperative assessments.
• Reviews discharge instructions.
• Manages medication reconciliation and patient education.
• Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment.
