Job summary

Mercy is seeking an RN to provide patient care using the nursing process and to coordinate care with other departments on shift. The role requires maintaining patient rights and confidentiality while upholding Mercy's mission and service standards.

You will work within Mercy's team to deliver compassionate, quality care and participate in ongoing improvement of patient outcomes across units.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Current RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS/NRP/ENPC/TNCC/CPHON/OCN/PALS/PEARS/C-EFM or other unit-specific certifications are expected.

Overview

Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Position Details

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).

Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certifications

Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.

Physical Requirements

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
