Job summary

HCA HealthONE in Colorado is seeking a PACU Registered Nurse to provide immediate post-operative care, manage airway support, monitor neurological and cardiac status, and collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams.

This role requires Colorado RN license, BLS, ACLS/PALS, and at least one year of PACU or critical care experience; on-call availability during select non-business hours.

Hourly wage range is $36.68 to $55.53 per hour, with comprehensive benefits and on-site work.

  • ACLS and PALS certifications.
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide care for adult, pediatric, and geriatric populations as required.
  • Rotate to other areas as needed and perform tasks within competency.
  • Supervise assistive personnel and ensure quality patient care.

Job Summary

As a PACU Registered Nurse, you play a critical role in the immediate post‑operative care of surgical patients. Your responsibilities include managing airway support, closely monitoring neurological and cardiac status, responding promptly to any complications, providing initial wound care, ensuring patient stability during recovery, and collaborating with the surgical and anesthesia team. The role includes on‑call availability during select non‑business hours as discussed in the interview.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and direct the care of the post‑surgical/post‑procedural patient.
  • Bring specialized skills to serve specific age groups, including adult, adolescent, geriatric, or pediatric populations.
  • Rotate to areas other than your assigned service area and perform duties for which you have demonstrated competency.
  • Oversee and direct the care of assistive personnel, maintaining final accountability for the care given to assigned patients.
Qualifications
  • Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multi‑state Registered Nurse license.
  • Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • ACLS and PALS certifications.
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience required; PACU, Ambulatory, Critical Care, or ED experience preferred.
