Job summary

AmSurg's Surgery Center of Middle Tennessee is seeking a full-time PACU Registered Nurse to work Mondays–Fridays in a busy outpatient setting. The role requires cooperative teamwork with staff and physicians and a variety of patient-care tasks following the nursing process.

The ideal candidate will have acute care nursing proficiency, an accredited RN program degree, an active RN license, and current BLS and ACLS certifications, with at least two years of operating room experience.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license and active state license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• At least two years of operating room experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide postoperative care in PACU and monitor patient status.
• Collaborate with staff and physicians to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Assist with moving/lifting patients and equipment as needed.
• Adhere to nursing processes and policies; perform varied tasks as required.

The Surgery Center of Middle Tennessee is a freestanding outpatient surgical facility dedicated to a broad range of surgical procedures. We are currently searching for a (FT) PACU Registered Nurse to work Mondays – Fridays who can work cooperatively with staff and physicians and perform a variety of tasks. Responsible for the knowledge of principles, theories and practices of the nursing process and the ability to deal efficiently and effectively with a wide variety of individuals and to move or lift patients and equipment.

Candidate must demonstrate proficiency in acute care nursing, knowledge, and skills, be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, have a current state license to practice as a registered nurse, maintain basic cardiac life support certification and ACLS, and have at least two years of operating experience.
