Job summary

Digestive Health Center of Bedford is seeking an experienced registered nurse to join our PACU/GI team in a full-time, on-site role in Bedford, TX. You will provide post‑anesthesia recovery care, administer medications, educate patients, and coordinate with physicians and staff to maintain smooth patient flow.

The ideal candidate has a valid RN license, BLS/ACLS, and at least 2 years of RN experience in GI, PACU, OR, or acute care.

Qualifications

• Active RN license.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years RN experience (GI, PACU, OR, or acute care preferred).
• Strong clinical judgment and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive post-anesthesia recovery care and monitor patient status.
• Administer medications and follow physician orders accurately.
• Deliver patient education, including discharge instructions and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure seamless patient flow.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with clinical standards.

Physical & Work Environment Expectations

• Work in procedure rooms with medical equipment and disinfecting agents
• Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and body fluids
• Climate‑controlled environment with occasional reduced lighting
• Schedule and hours may vary based on patient and Center needs
