Job summary

Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit seeks registered nurses dedicated to exceptional patient care. Nurses participate in quality assurance activities, research and shared governance to improve care, using evidence-based practice and the Henry Ford Nurse Practice Model.

This role requires leadership in coordinating and delivering compassionate care, applying the nursing process, communicating with care teams, and working through variances from patient goals.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
• Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.
• Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team.
