Job summary

IU Health is seeking an RN with at least 1 year of experience to join the Spine Program. The role covers patient triage, clinic support, and surgery scheduling across Carmel, Indianapolis, and Avon locations. Work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with no weekends, holidays, or on-call duties.

Clinic experience is preferred, but training is available for the right candidate. Required: ASN; Indiana RN license (or NLC), graduation from a nationally accredited program, and BLS

Qualifications

• ASN required; BSN preferred as stated.
• Active RN license in Indiana or NLC RN license.
• Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program; exceptions possible with 2+ years of relevant clinical experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the AHA; other advanced Life Support may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient triage and clinic support within the Spine Program.
• Assist with surgery scheduling and order management across Carmel, Indianapolis, and Avon.
• Maintain patient care activities with attention to legal implications and compliance.

This role includes patient triage, clinic support, surgery scheduling, and order management across our Carmel, Indianapolis, and Avon locations. • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of relevant clinical experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
• May require ability to assess patients without face-to-face interaction.
• Requires awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse.
