Job summary

The Oncology Institute is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our care team in California. You will provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care across oncology settings, with emphasis on teamwork and patient support.

We offer a Monday-Friday schedule with no nights or weekends, robust benefits, and opportunities for oncology-specific certification and professional growth. Two or more years RN experience preferred; bilingual in Spanish a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Two or more years as an RN preferred but not required.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and supervise patient care during your shift.
• Work independently within the care team.
• Administer IV therapy and mix immunotherapy/chemotherapy as prescribed.
• Lead and coordinate patient care tasks with LPN and other team members.
• Promote teamwork with physicians and other departments.
• Perform thorough patient assessments prior to administration of treatments.
• Open to working at surrounding clinics.

Registered Nurse (RN) duties include:

• Ability to work independently.
• Mix immunotherapy, chemotherapy as prescribed.

• Satisfy the established standards of nursing practice.
• Lead and coordinate patient care tasks to LPN and other patient care team members.
• Promote teamwork with physicians and personnel of other departments.
• Perform adequate patient assessments prior to admin.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Two or more years as a Registered Nurse (RN) preferred but not required.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Registered Nurse licensed to practice in good standing by the state of employment.
• Maintain current BLS certification throughout employment.
• BLS certification required upon hire.
• ONS Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certification required within 3 months of hire.
• ACLS preferred but not required.
• ONC preferred but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $45 — $57 USD
