The role requires a BSN in progress or completion within three years, oncology nursing experience preferred, NJ RN license, and BLS certification, with per diem daytime shifts at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, NJ.

Qualifications

• BSN in progress or willing to acquire within three years of hire.
• 1 year oncology nursing experience strongly preferred.
• Oncology ambulatory infusion experience preferred.
• Current and valid New Jersey Registered Nurse license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association is required.
• OCN preferred.
• ONS chemo/bio card preferred, must obtain within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing practices according to evidence-based research and standards of care.
• Communicate ongoing patient status and treatment plans with healthcare team members.
• Administer medications utilizing bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
• Document patient assessments, plans of care, interventions, and evaluations electronically.
• Provide patient and family-centered education for health optimization and disease management.
• Participate in multidisciplinary discharges to ensure safe transitions and continuity of care.
