Job summary

Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center in Williamsburg, VA is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Outpatient Infusion Center. This FLEXI / PRN Days role features 9-hour day shifts, with weekend and holiday rotation.

Prior infusion center experience preferred; BLS within 90 days of hire. You will perform direct patient care, administer medications, monitor patients, and collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, high-quality infusion services.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Virginia or eligibility to obtain license in Virginia.
• BLS within 90 days of hire is required.
• Experience in an Infusion Center preferred or recent direct patient care in RN role.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in the Outpatient Infusion Center.
• Administer medications and monitor patient status during infusions.
• Assess and admit patients, perform rounds, and communicate with families.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective care.

REQUIREMENTS EXPERIENCE: RECENT Previous DIRECT patient care RN experience in an Infusion Center Strongly Preferred. Previous RN acute care hospital experience REQUIRED if no previous Infusion Center experience Experience with central lines and IV starts REQUIRED for flexi PRN

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical area: all Direct Care RN's required to have BLS within 90 days of hire.

EDUCATION: RN Degree: RN Diploma, ADN, BSN or MSN

CERTIFICATIONS and or LICENSURE: RN License valid to work in the State of Virginia BLS within 90 days of hire
