Job summary

MedCadre seeks an RN with 2+ years of experience in SICU/OR/PACU or Oncology to join our gynecologic oncology clinic. The role involves triage by phone and EPIC messaging, and delivering pre/post-operative education to patients.

The ideal candidate will have Gynecology, Oncology, and Surgical experience, with clinic 50% and OR 50% time in a fast-paced environment. Travel or temporary-to-permanent arrangements are possible. BLS required.

Qualifications

• Active RN license with current status (state of WA preferred).
• BLS certification required.
• 2+ years of nursing experience in SICU/OR/PACU or Oncology settings.

Responsibilities

• Triage for medication reactions, potential surgical outcomes, and symptoms of recurrence via phone and EPIC messaging.
• Provide pre/post-operative education and assessment to ensure safe treatment progression.
• Support clinic flow with 30–40 patients daily; manage 3–6 nurse visits daily.
• Assist with port flushes or central line care as needed.

Job description

Shift: Day (5x8 Hours) 8:30 17:00 Description: This role is open to RN's who have worked in the following specialties: SICU, OR, PACU, Post-Op, Gynecologic Oncology, Triage, OBGYN, Oncology RN's. This role is not open to caregivers who have worked solely in L&D. Solely Obstetric experience does not translate well to the need at this clinic. The perfect candidate would hold Gynecology, Oncology, and Surgical Experience. ROLE CAN BE TRUE TRAVEL OR TEMP TO PERM. No Chemo administration or Infusion in this role. Experience with voiding trials and central line flushes (port flushes) a plus. The clinic has 4 GYN Oncologists, one benign GYN surgeon, 4 APP’s supporting the team. Our providers spend about 50% of their time in the OR, and 50% of their time in clinic. While clinic patient population is overall “low volume”, population is “high needs”. Hours would be 830-5 Monday through Friday.

Primarily responsibilities:

• -Triage for medication reactions, possible concerning surgical outcomes, symptoms of potential recurrence, etc. Triage will be done both over the phone and via EPIC messaging.
• -Pre/post operative education and assessment Ensuring patients make it through their treatment course safely. Clinic may see between 30-40 patients daily. Nurse visits generally do not exceed 3-6 daily.
