Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital is seeking an RN Staff Nurse for Outpatient services in Winfield, IL. The role requires a BSN, IL RN license, and at least 1 year of experience, with BLS and ACLS/PALS as noted.

You will manage nursing processes, care plans, and patient/family education in a fast-paced outpatient setting. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including education reimbursement, loan repayment, wellbeing funds, 401(k) matching, and competitive health coverage.

Qualificações

• BSN required for all new hires after 01/01/2011.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois.
• One year of experience in similar role.
• Certification in CPR - Basic Life Support (BLS).
• CPR - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (note: some cost centers may not require).
• CPR - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).

Responsabilidades

• Nursing process: collect/analyze data, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Direct care and utilization of assistants involved in direct patient care.
• Involve patient/family in care planning, education, and discharge planning.
• Perform all aspects of patient care focusing on safety and reducing errors per NP safety goals.
• Assess and manage pain; educate patient/family on pain management.
• Demonstrate effective hand-offs to next care provider.
• Accept required on-call assignments.

The salary range for this position is $34.50 - $55.20 (Hourly Rate)

Description

• The RN Staff Nurse Outpatient reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

Responsibilities

• Nursing process--Collects and analyzes data, identifies expected outcomes, develops and implements an individualized plan of care, coordinates care delivery and evaluates progress toward attainment of outcomes.
• Directs care and determines the appropriate utilization of any assistant involved in providing direct patient care.
• Involves patient/family to participate in their care, including teaching, continuum of care and discharge planning.
• Performs all aspects of patient care in a manner which optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors incorporating the National Patient Safety Goals.
• Adequately assesses and reassesses pain. Utilizes appropriate pain management techniques. Educates the patient and family regarding methods to manage pain.
• Demonstrates effective hand-offs to the next healthcare provider.
• Assumes required on call assignments.
