Job summary

Novant Health is seeking an Orthopedic Specialty Registered Nurse (RN) in North Carolina. You will join a renovated 39-bed Ortho & Spine unit, caring for patients after joint replacements and spine surgeries.

RNs deliver post-surgical care, manage pain, educate patients, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support recovery. Requirements include RN licensure in the appropriate state and a nursing degree from an accredited program; one year of relevant experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the appropriate state is required.
• One year of relevant nursing experience is preferred.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries and total joint replacements.
• Provide comprehensive post-surgical care and pain management.
• Educate patients and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support recovery.

• Education : High School Diploma or GED, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course, preferred.
• Experience : One year relevant experience, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
