Job summary

TRIA Orthopedics is seeking an experienced RN, OR Circulator to join our surgery center team. The RN will function independently in a fast-paced setting, coordinating and delivering direct patient care in ambulatory surgery.

One year OR experience and orthopedic experience preferred; BSN required. Typical schedule is 0615–0900 with possible Saturday shifts during high volume periods. Medical, dental and retirement benefits are included for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• BSN / Baccalaureate degree in nursing.
• Valid Minnesota Registered Nurse License.
• BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in ambulatory settings.
• Coordinate and supervise patient care provided by assistive personnel.
• Apply nursing process: assessment, planning, nursing diagnosis, implementation and evaluation.

Position Summary

Must be able to function independently in a fast-paced work environment. Teamwork and priority setting is a must. One year of operating room experience and orthopedic experience preferred. Primarily day shift with varying start times (0615-0900). Possibility to work one Saturday shift during fourth quarter based on surgical volumes.

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care in ambulatory settings. Patient care may be a direct activity of the RN, or it may be to coordinate and supervise patient care provided by assistive personnel. Utilizes a systematic approach to nursing practice incorporating assessment, planning, nursing diagnosis, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, recognized professional standards and Park Nicollet Health Services policy. Previous experience preferred in the designated area.

Work Schedule

• 80 FTE, M-F, rotating start times ranging from 6-9am, potential Saturday in December if volume needs

Required Qualifications

• Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
  • BSN / Baccalaureate degree in nursing
• Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
  • Valid Minnesota Registered Nurse License
  • BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven proficiency in the operation of the following: Personal Computer, Telephone, Fax Machine, Photocopier, Printer, and electronic medical record.
  • This position requires familiarity and compliance with matters of law, regulations and internal policies affecting the employment relationship, (including but not limited to FMLA, ADA, discrimination, and harassment laws).
  • Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
