Job summary

IdealHire Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Travel RN – Orthopedic Surgery in Asheville, NC for a 13-week travel assignment in a high-acuity acute care hospital.

You will provide direct patient care on an orthopedic surgery unit and collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams. Candidates must hold an active RN license in NC or a compact state, BLS, and at least 2 years of orthopedic or surgical RN experience.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years recent experience in orthopedic or surgical nursing.
• Able to commit to a 13-week travel contract starting October 2026.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on an orthopedic surgery unit in a high-acuity acute care hospital setting
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for orthopedic surgical patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
• Monitor post-operative patients and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with facility standards

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in North Carolina or a compact state license
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse in orthopedic or surgical nursing
• Ability to commit to a 13-week travel contract beginning in October 2026

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in an orthopedic or surgical unit
• Familiarity with post-operative care protocols and orthopedic surgical procedures
• Experience in a large, high-volume acute care or Level II trauma center environment
