Position Summary

Coordinate, implement, and plan nursing care in a timely and accurate manner.

Position Requirements

Formal Education / Training:

  • Earned a nursing diploma or degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Licensed in the State of Tennessee.
  • BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Additional certifications and experience vary by specific unit and specialization, including:

  • Basic arrhythmia, ACLS, NVCI, CCRN, PALS, ENPC, TNCC, ONS chemo/immunotherapy, TNCC, and emergency room experience, among others, with specific timeframes for certification completion.
Workplace Experience
  • Adult Medical Surgical, Pediatric, Critical Care, Oncology, Emergency, and Pediatric Emergency Patient Care Delivery.
Equipment and Skills Training

Proficiency with standard patient care equipment, working under pressure, and flexibility in applying nursing knowledge across various settings. Equipment includes Network Computer System, Omnicell Medication System, Telemetry, Pneumatic Tube System, and AT&T Language Line.

Physical Environment

Work on adult, pediatric, critical care, oncology, and emergency units with patient populations ranging from neonates to over 99 years of age.

Physical Effort
  • Proficient in English communication.
  • Prolonged standing and working up to twelve hours a day.
  • Ability to lift up to 250 lbs with assistance.
