The IU Health North Operating Room (OR) supports surgical procedures for pediatric and adult patients, including General Surgery, Gynecology, Urology, Robotics, Orthopedics, Spine, Thoracic, Peripheral Vascular, Head & Neck, ENT, Breast, and Plastic Surgery. Our 16-room OR team collaborates closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and OR assistants to ensure high-quality care.

Nursing Skills Gained on This Unit

  • Use of advanced surgical equipment (including Indiana's first Intuitive da Vinci SP robot)

Available Shifts
  • Full-Time Day, Full-Time Night, Part-Time Day, Weekend rotation, and call required
Qualifications
  • Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Active RN license in Indiana or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
  • Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA
  • Additional certifications may be required based on unit needs
