Indiana University Health is seeking an experienced OR RN for a full-time night shift with a special weekend option. The role requires an active Indiana RN license and at least 1 year of OR experience, with ASN required and BSN preferred.

Training to scrub and circulate is provided, and you must live within 45 minutes of Methodist Hospital. This position offers premium pay and comprehensive IU Health benefits, including 401(k), tuition reimbursement, and loan forgiveness programs.

Overview

This is a Full‑Time Nights, Special Weekend Option position and qualifies for premium pay rate! We are looking for an RN with 1+ year of OR RN experience.

This pipeline requisition allows the IU Health Talent Acquisition team to pair upcoming and recent nurse graduates with the best opportunities available to them based on their unique skillsets and interests. Shift Details

Weekend Option - 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m. (Sat/Sun) plus one night through the week. On Call Required – must live within 45 minutes of Methodist Hospital.

Requirements

• 1+ year of OR experience
• Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse
• Registered Nurse (RN) must have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program
• Basic Life Support certification through the AHA
• Other Advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit or department specialty according to patient care policies

Patient Population / Diagnoses

Level 1 Trauma Services. Orthopedics, orthopedic trauma, neurosurgery brain & spine, cardiovascular, peripheral vascular, general surgery, ears nose and throat, gynecology, plastic surgery, thoracic, and urology.

Unit Information

Number of Beds: 29 ORs, 2 are hybrid and 1 IMRIS.

Unit Successes / Designations / National Recognition: Magnet.

Training to scrub and circulate.

Unit Culture: Active and engagement team member lead committees. Interdisciplinary teams working on process improvement.
