Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking an experienced OR RN with Charge Nurse responsibilities to join our surgical services team. The role requires an Indiana RN license and ASN with BSN preferred, and involves circulating and scrubbing duties including training on the daVinci XI robot.

Available shifts are Tuesday-Friday, 9 PM to 7:30 AM, with on-call and holiday requirements. This is a high acuity unit with a large oncology population and 23 beds.

Qualifications

• ASN is required; BSN preferred.
• Current Indiana RN license.
• RN must have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program; exceptions possible with >2 years acute care.
• Basic Life Support certification required; other Advanced Life Support may be required per unit.

OR Experience Preferred!

Available Shift:

• Tuesday- Friday, 9p- 7:30a, on call and holidays required

Patient Population/Diagnoses:

• Adult population surgical services-Thoracic, General , Hepatobiliary, GYN, Urology, Plastics, Orthopedics, ENT, Dental, OMFS, and Abdominal Transplant (Liver, Kidney, Pancreas, Intestine and Multi-visceral). Large oncology patient population.

Qualifications

• Requires Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Requires current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse.
• Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO)
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Other Advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
