Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Perioperative Registered Nurse in Evanston, IL for full-time night shifts. The RN will provide direct patient care across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations during the perioperative period, ensuring safety and advocating for patients.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the surgical team, orienting staff, and assisting with education and equipment/supply management. Licensure in IL and BLS/CPR are required; BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a state approved school of nursing is required.
• CPR BLS certification issued by American Heart Association is required.
• Basic computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in perioperative settings for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Advocate for patient safety and collaborate with the surgical team to complete procedures.
• Assess the surgical environment for safety concerns and intervene as needed.
• May orient new staff and contribute to educational programs.
• Assist in securing and maintaining supplies and equipment for delivery of care.

Hourly Pay Range:$36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Endeavor Health is currently conducting a comprehensive review of our compensation structure. The new minimum for this role will be adjusted to $37.25 base pay hourly rate beginning with the second paycheck in October.

What you will do:

The Perioperative Registered nurse provides direct patient care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations during the perioperative period, using specialized knowledge and skills to achieve desired patient outcomes. The perioperative nurse functions as patient advocate. He/she assesses the surgical environment for potential patient safety concerns and intervenes appropriately while working with the surgical team to facilitate the completion of the surgical procedure. The Perioperative Registered nurse may assume responsibility for the orientation of new staff members, educational programs, and securing and maintaining supplies and equipment necessary for the delivery of care.

What you will need:

• Education:Graduate of a state approved school of nursing required.
• BSN preferred.
• License/Certification:IL RN License
• CPR BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Experience:2 yrs RN experience in perioperative care - Preferred
• Basic Computer Skills
