Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking an experienced Perioperative Registered Nurse for Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview. The role involves direct perioperative care across age groups, acting as patient advocate, and collaborating with the surgical team.

We offer full-time hours (9:00am–7:30pm, Mon–Fri with 4 x 10s) and rotating call shifts including nights and weekends. BSN preferred; IL RN license and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a state approved school of nursing required.
• BSN preferred.
• 2 yrs RN experience in perioperative care preferred.
• Basic Computer Skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative patient care to pediatric, adult and geriatric patients.
• Act as patient advocate and ensure safety during the perioperative procedure.
• Support orientation of new staff and maintain supplies/equipment.

$36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

What you will do:

The Perioperative Registered nurse provides direct patient care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations during the perioperative period, using specialized knowledge and skills to achieve desired patient outcomes. The perioperative nurse functions as patient advocate. He/she assesses the surgical environment for potential patient safety concerns and intervenes appropriately while working with the surgical team to facilitate the completion of the surgical procedure. The Perioperative Registered nurse may assume responsibility for the orientation of new staff members, educational programs, andsecuring and maintaining supplies and equipment necessary for the delivery of care.
