Job summary

AdventHealth in Dade City, FL is hiring a Registered Nurse for a full-time day shift. Eligible clinicians can grow through the Clinical Ladder Program with salary increases up to 20% based on experience, development, and advancement criteria.

Responsibilities include assessing patients, developing and implementing care plans with the interdisciplinary team, administering medications, documenting care, and educating patients and families to promote understanding and adherence.

Qualifications

• RN with Associate's Degree in Nursing (required).
• BSN preferred, not mandatory.
• 1+ year medical-surgical experience required.
• 1+ year surgery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions and develop care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, ensuring comprehensive and continuous care.
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol.
• Document care activities meticulously to maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care to promote understanding and compliance.
• Advocate for patient safety by identifying potential risks and implementing preventive measures.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
• Maintain sterile environment and adhere to safety protocols to prevent infection and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Perform therapeutic and diagnostic interventions such as IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collections.
• Provide emotional and physical support to patients and their families during recovery.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care quality, safety, and efficiency.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
