Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center, part of Methodist Health System, is seeking a registered nurse to provide professional nursing care on weekend shifts.

The role requires a nursing degree, Texas license or eligibility, BLS, and at least 12 months of RN experience; duties include assessments, planning, implementation and evaluation to ensure safe patient care and effective teamwork.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification.
• Current license to practice nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so.
• Work experience: 12 months of RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards and promotes a cooperative work environment using communication and teamwork.
• Assumes responsibility for nursing components of patient/family care.
• Communicates with team, patients and families and evaluates understanding.
• Creates and maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
• Ensures accurate and timely written communication of patient information.
• Delivers safe medication and IV administration.
• Shows initiative for performance and professional growth.
• Uses the nursing process to ensure quality patient care throughout the episode of care.

Provides direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation). Your Job Requirements:
