Sunbelt Staffing in Tampa is seeking an experienced perioperative RN to elevate patient care in the operating room. This contract role offers immediate impact within a fast-paced team alongside surgeons, anesthesiologists, and fellow RNs to ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical journey.

The role requires an active RN license, at least 1 year of OR/perioperative experience, proficiency in sterile technique and infection control, and BLS (ACLS preferred).

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license.
• At least 1 year of proven OR/perioperative nursing experience.
• Proficient knowledge of sterile techniques and infection control standards.
• Familiarity with a wide range of surgical procedures and instrumentation.
• Ability to anticipate the needs of surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other team members during procedures.
• Strong critical-thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
• BLS certification required; ACLS strongly preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assess, monitor, and document patient status before, during, and after surgery.
• Prepare operating rooms, equipment, and instruments in alignment with surgical protocols.
• Support physicians and surgeons during procedures by supplying instruments and maintaining sterile fields.
• Advocate for patient safety and comfort at every stage of the perioperative process.
• Provide effective pre-op and post-op patient education.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote positive surgical outcomes.
• Maintain up-to-date, accurate patient records in compliance with regulatory standards.

$2,001 - $2,189/WeekEstimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
