DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION
Provide direct care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care to an assigned group of patients.
Plan, direct, and/or participate in the education of the patient, family, community, and health professionals.
Report pertinent observations and reactions regarding patients to the appropriate person (i.e. physicians, head nurse, charge nurse, and/or nursing supervisor) and record those observations accurately and concisely.
Maintain the standards of nursing care and implement the policies and procedures of the hospital and assigned nursing department.
Participate in meetings, in-services, and quality and performance improvement groups.
Participate in nursing research.
Provide quality care to patients and work with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the highest patient satisfaction.
May complete unit/department specific duties as outlined in department documents.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Missouri Board of Nursing RN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN. When primary state of residency changes, compact state RNs must apply under new state of residency within thirty (30) days.
One (1) year of RN experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Participation in a professional nursing organization.
Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
