Summary

• The Specialty Team Coordinator assumes responsibility and accountability for the direction, implementation, and evaluation of patient care services within the assigned specialty, under the guidance of the Nurse Manager. The coordinator ensures the delivery of patient care through customer service, leadership, and management of the nursing unit. This role supports interdepartmental coordination, maintains patient records, and leads the patient care team to meet departmental objectives. The coordinator also promotes staff education and professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Follow standards of the OR Registered Nurse (Job Code 5028) within the defined job position related to the cost center.
• Create a patient-centered, professional environment aligned with the organization's care model.
• Respect the dignity of patients, families, staff, and visitors.
• Support the organization's mission to provide quality healthcare in a caring, responsive manner.
• Maintain professional development through education, seminars, and affiliations.
• Develop staffing and budget plans, ensuring operations stay within financial parameters.
