Job summary

SCA Health, part of Optum, centers its care on people—patients, physicians and teammates—and operates 370+ ambulatory surgical centers nationwide. This perioperative nursing role focuses on individualized patient care within a multidisciplinary team, promoting our mission and values across every step of the perioperative episode.

The ideal candidate will hold an accredited nursing degree, have OR/Medical-Surgical experience, and possess active U.S.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • One year of OR and/or medical/surgical nursing experience preferred.
  • Current state nursing licensure to practice in good standing.
  • Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BLS certification.
  • Successful completion of Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of employment or documentation of current ACLS certification.
  • Successful completion of Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) when pediatric care is included in scope within 90 days of employment or documentation of current PALS certification.
  • Specialty certification in Perioperative Nursing is preferred.

  • Assess patient status throughout the perioperative episode of care.
  • Develop an individualized perioperative patient plan of care.
  • Serve as a member of a multidisciplinary team in planning perioperative patient care.
