Job summary

Quail Surgical and Pain Management Center in Reno, NV is seeking an OR RN to provide direct patient care across the infant to geriatric population in an outpatient surgical environment. The role requires collaboration with surgeons and anesthesiologists to ensure patient safety and readiness of the operating room.

The position is full-time with a day shift, offering opportunities to participate in performance improvement activities and maintain surgical equipment and pain management inventory.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Nevada.
• Outpatient OR experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides communication between team members in the surgical field and person outside the OR
• Informs charge nurse of case progress and reports any unusual circumstances
• Obtains needed supplies and equipment for each specific procedure
• Verifies suctions, lights, and other needed equipment for proper functioning

Quail Surgical and Pain Management Center in Reno, Nevada, is an outpatient surgical center dedicated to providing high-quality patient care. This OR RN opportunity is full time and offers a convenient day shift schedule. This individual will provide direct patient care to infant through geriatric patient populations. Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment. Communicates with surgeon and anesthesiologist continuously and as needed about patient condition. Assists with the maintenance of surgical equipment and pain management inventory. Participates in performance improvement activities. Assesses operating room / procedure room for equipment functioning and readiness, obtains supplies for individual cases and ensures all appropriate needs of surgical operating team are met. Monitors, positions and assists patient during procedure.

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Nevada.

Previous experiencein an outpatient OR setting or in an acute care setting in the OR preferred .

Current BLS certification.

Current ACLS certification.
