Job summary

Health Care Administrators Association (HCAA) seeks a Registered Nurse for the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) to support cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgeries at a Level 1 Trauma Center. Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license and BLS certification.
• 6 months of OR nursing experience or completion of a fellowship.
• CNOR preferred; cardiovascular OR experience highly preferred.

Job description

Role:

Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) supporting cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgeries at a Level 1 Trauma Center.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process, collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, prioritize wellness and evidence-based practices, precept new healthcare staff, and ensure safety and quality at the point of care.

Perioperative duties include:

Care in Perioperative, PACU, or Operating Room settings, following AORN and ABPANC standards, with clinical education and competency validation support.

Qualifications & Skills:

Graduate of an accredited nursing program, RN licensure, BLS certification, 6 months of OR nursing experience or completion of a fellowship, and preferred certifications such as CNOR. Cardiovascular OR experience is highly preferred.
