Hackensack Meridian Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Comprehensive Services Psych Unit in Belle Mead, NJ. This full-time night-shift position requires carrying out direct patient care, data collection, and collaborative care planning with the healthcare team.

Minimum qualifications include an Associate degree or Diploma in Nursing, current NJ RN license, and BLS/CPR within 60 days of hire; BSN in progress or with plan to complete within three years is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Registered Nurse license in New Jersey; BLS/CPR certification within 60 days of hire.

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patients health.
• Perform age- and disease-specific assessments.
• Develop and coordinate patient-centered plans of care.
• Communicate and implement the plan of care with the healthcare team.
• Administer medications using advanced bar-scanning technologies.
• Evaluate progress toward patient outcomes and initiate changes as needed.

About This Role

What You'll Do

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health.
• Perform age and disease-specific assessments independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patients.
• Develop and coordinate patient-centered plans of care.
• Communicate and implement the plan of care effectively.
• Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Administer medications using advanced bar-scanning technologies.
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of patient outcomes.
• Initiate interventions related to changes in patient condition.
• Adhere to the American Nurses Association Code for Nurses.

Requirements

Education:

• Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required
• BSN in progress or willingness to acquire within three years of hire

Experience:

• Six months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program

Licenses & Certifications:

• Current and valid Registered Nurse license in New Jersey
• BLS/CPR certification required within 60 days of hire
• National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible
