Qualifications

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Uptown is a joint venture surgical hospital between Baylor Scott & White Health (BSWH), United Surgical Partners International (USPI), and local physicians. Baylor Scott & White Medical Center- Uptown provides a wide range of medical and surgical services for the greater North Texas area across 8 ORs, 24 private inpatient rooms, and a full-service ED. The hospital specializes in inpatient and outpatient procedures in Orthopedics, Joint Replacement, Spine, General Surgery, Bariatrics, Surgical Oncology, ENT, Reconstructive Surgery, and other surgical specialties.

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Surgical Services, the OR Coordinator is responsible for staff assignments and ensuring an organized, efficient flow of patients through the OR. The role includes coordinating instrumentation with vendors, disseminating information between management and staff, and overseeing nursing activities related to operative or invasive procedures. The OR Coordinator provides guidance to non-licensed personnel and cares for adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients, adhering to age-specific standards.

Required Skills:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.

• Current CPR and ACLS certification; PALS preferred.
