Travel Registered Nurse - Operating Room/Circulator(Days/Evenings)
Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse - Operating Room/Circulator for a 13-week travel assignment i n Morristown, VT 05661.
Circulating nurses are essential members of any healthcare team. They are responsible for maintaining a safe and sterile environment throughout the surgical procedure and providing care to patients before, during, and after surgery. The role of circulating nurse is multi-faceted and requires critical thinking, excellent communication, and clinical judgment. The requirements of a circulating nurse are high, and those interested in the position must possess a professional certification and possess advanced clinical knowledge.
- Day and evenings. On call rotation: Once a week and every fifth weekend; Option - 4 10's ( 7:00am-5:30pm or 8:00am-6:30pm) or 5 8's (7:00am-3:30pm, 9:00am-5:30pm, 10:00am-6:30pm)

- Call: Weekend call every 5th weekend; One weeknight call per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the operating room with necessary equipment and supplies
- Ensure all surgical instruments are sterilized and functioning
- Monitor the surgical team to maintain a sterile environment
- Assist in positioning the patient safely before the surgery
- Verify patient information and surgical site before the procedure begins
- Document all aspects of the surgical procedure in the patient’s chart
- Coordinate with anesthesia providers to ensure patient safety
- Manage the flow of the operating room and anticipate the surgical team’s needs
- Handle specimens taken during surgery and ensure proper labeling and documentation
- Assess the patient’s condition and readiness for discharge from the post-anesthesia care unit
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families before and after surgery
- Maintain inventory of surgical supplies and reorder as needed
Compensation:
- Weekly Pay (hourly) + Non-taxed Stipend (if eligible)

Requirements
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of OR RN experience required
- Must have current Vermont RN license or Compact Multi-State RN License
- ACLS (American Heart Association) required
- Must have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification during employment
- Effective team skills including interaction, support, and respect are required.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills , professionalism, and reliability
- Must be able to work independently/hit the ground running
- Able to adapt to stressful situations quickly and effectively
- Ability to learn and apply basic computer skills including locating and opening documents, completing forms, opening and sending e-mail messages.
