An established industry player in healthcare is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join their Perioperative Services team. As an RN, you will play an integral role in delivering exceptional care. Using our patient-centered care model, you will be supported by a dedicated nursing organization and will be able to provide the excellent care your patients deserve.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Deliver nursing care in the Perioperative Services unit, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients.
Communicate effectively with healthcare team members, patients, and their families.
Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
Update and manage patient records accurately.
Enter and interpret computerized data/information.
Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC's nursing organization.
Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN, or BSN (preferred). Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Certification in basic life support (BLS).
CNRO certification (preferred).
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (preferred).
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 2 years of operating room experience required.
3 years preferred.
Must be experienced in a circulating role.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Relevant clinical experience and/or specialty certification as required for certain practice areas.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Physical ability to meet job responsibilities.
Basic computer proficiency.
Fluency in another language is a plus.
