Job Overview

Plainfield Surgery Center is currently seeking a part-time Operating Room Nurse (approximately 30 hours per week). Our center operates Monday through Friday, with NO CALL, NO WEEKENDS, NO HOLIDAYS. We aim to provide the highest quality surgical care and are looking for dedicated candidates to join our team.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver professional nursing care in the operative setting for surgical patients.
  • Perform circulating nurse duties, including monitoring, recording, and communicating patient conditions, and managing overall nursing care before, during, and after procedures.
  • Monitor vital signs during procedures and document on the OR record.
  • Transport patients to the PACU post-procedure.
  • Prepare operating rooms for surgeries, maintain sterile environments, and assist with room turnovers.
  • Participate in performance improvement and quality initiatives.
  • Comply with all policies, procedures, and regulatory standards (AORN, IDPH, CMS).
Requirements
  • Current Illinois Nursing license
  • Current BLS certification
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to problem solve and think critically
  • Minimum of 2 years orthopedic OR experience
