Job summary

American Geriatrics Society seeks a registered nurse in New York to support geriatric care in clinical and ambulatory settings. Minimum: graduate of an accredited nursing school; preferred BSN and prior acute/ambulatory experience; current NY RN license.

Preferred: CCRN and ACLS/PALS/TNCC as required by the assigned home unit. Work involves office and patient-care areas with PPE use, in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum: graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.

• Current NYS RN license is required.
• Preferred certifications: CCRN, ACLS, PALS, TNCC as required by the home unit.

Work Environment

• Work is performed in an office environment and patient care areas which require working in proximity to other employees and patients. Rooms are air conditioned and heated.
• Frequent walking, standing, bending and lifting.
• Fast paced environment with frequent interruptions.
• Exposure to equipment cleaning solutions and disinfectants.
• PPE (Eyewear, Masks, Face shields, Shoe covers, and Gloves) as required by UHS Hospitals Infection Control policies.
