The Operating Room Registered Nurse at Arnot Health provides direct perioperative nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. Working with the surgical team, the RN ensures patient safety, maintains aseptic technique, and delivers compassionate, high-quality care while adhering to professional standards.

NY state licensure is required or eligible, with BLS certification expected within 90 days of hire. Onsite role with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

• Registered professional nurse with current NYS license or eligible to obtain.

• Preferred BSN with at least 1 year of perioperative experience.

Working collaboratively with the surgical team, the RN ensures patient safety, maintains a sterile environment, and delivers high-quality, compassionate care while adhering to professional nursing standards.Roles and Responsibilities:Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate perioperative nursing care to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes.Provide direct intraoperative patient care while maintaining aseptic technique and adherence to surgical safety standards.Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care throughout the surgical experience.Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements.Promote quality, safety, and continuous improvement through compliance with policies, emergency preparedness, patient advocacy, and professional development activities.Required Skills and Experience:Registered professional nurse with current NYS license or eligible to obtain.Basic Life Support (BLS) Required or obtained within 90 days of hirePreferred Skills and Experience:BSN preferred with at least 1 year of experiencePhysical Requirements:Appreciable physical effort required; lifting, pulling, pushing, and moving patients of various size, capabilities and abilities. Some lifting, reaching, and stooping.
