Responsibilities

1. Follow the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
2. Adhere to the ANA Standards of Professional Performance, including ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, and resource utilization.

Qualifications

Education

Graduation from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred. Current BCLS certification required within one month of hire.

Experience

All RNs are encouraged to advance through the SPIRE clinical program.

Licensure

Current RN license in Connecticut; specialty certification encouraged.

Physical Demands

Prolonged standing, walking, and exposure to physical, mental, and emotional stress, including end-of-life situations. Must be able to lift patients up to 300 pounds.
