Please click here to learn more about our locations.Job DescriptionJob SummaryShriners Hospitals for Children is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Operating Room Nurse (RN) for our Surgical Services Department.The Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) provides comprehensive perioperative nursing care to infants, children, adolescents, and young adults undergoing surgical and procedural interventions. The nurse serves as a patient advocate throughout the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases of care while supporting safe, family-centered, evidence-based surgical practice.This position is full-time day shift – (4) 10-hour shifts. Call is required, no holidays.Key Responsibilities:Perform preoperative assessment and verify readiness for surgery.Scrub/ Circulate intraoperative procedures.Maintain sterile environment and adherence to patient safety protocols.Assist with positioning, counts, specimen management, and documentation.Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary teams.Anticipate patient and surgeon needs during procedures, facilitating an efficient surgical workflow.Provide education and support to pediatric patients and families.Participate in performance improvement and infection prevention initiatives.Required Qualifications:RN license in state of practiceCurrent BLS CertificationOR experiencePreferred Qualifications:BSNCNOR CertificationOrthopedic/ Spine ExperiencePediatric Surgical ExperienceCompensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
