Job summary

IU Health is seeking passionate, experienced nurses to join our team at Paoli Hospital. The unit includes endoscopy and general surgery procedures with 24/7 on-call coverage and a 30-minute response time.

Nurses will work in a collaborative, patient-centered environment and must hold an RN license valid in Indiana or an NLC license, with ASN required and BSN preferred. BLS certification is required, and advanced life support certifications may be needed per unit.

Qualifications

• Requires 1 year RN experience.
• Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• Exceptions: Candidates without a nationally accredited program may be considered if they have more than two years of acute care experience, subject to review by the CNO.
• Requires an active RN license in Indiana or an active NLC RN license.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department.

Unit:

OR at Paoli Hospital is a small unit that includes endoscopy and general surgery procedures. Examples are gallbladder’s, hernia’s, 24/7 c-section coverage, etc.

Our nurses are responsible for on-call coverage that comprises of a 30-minute response time along with approximately 65 hours of being on-call per week.

  • Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
• Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
