Job summary

Surgery Partners in Ohio seeks an RN Circulator to oversee patient care during surgical procedures, coordinating with surgeons, anesthesiologists and the nursing team.

You will monitor patients throughout the operation, manage equipment and lines, and participate in emergencies with sound judgment. An accredited nursing degree, active Ohio RN license, CPR and ACLS are required, with at least one year in the OR; orthopedic experience is preferred. Benefits include health, 401(k), PTO.

Qualifications

• RN must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active Ohio RN license required.
• CPR and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum 1 year operating room experience; orthopedic surgery preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors patient throughout the surgical process.
• Supports monitoring equipment, lines, drains and catheters.
• Assists surgical team and communicates nursing actions during emergencies.
• Maintains patient safety and infection control standards.
• Completes CPR/ PALS/ ACLS as required.

Job Title

RN Circulator

General Summary of Duties

Registered Nurse who assumes responsibility and accountability through the nursing process, for the surgical care of the Center patient in collaboration with other health care providers.

Responsibilities

• Monitors patient throughout the surgical process.


• Manages monitoring equipment, fluid lines, tubes, drains and catheters as needed, including support of operative extremity.


• Uses good judgement in determining appropriate nursing action and exhibits control in emergency situations.


• Successfully completes CPR/PALS/ACLS certification/recertification.


• Makes independent clinical decisions as appropriate regarding patient's need for nursing care and communicates same to appropriate personnel.


• Demonstrates a team player attitude and utilized work time efficiently.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing; current state RN license.


• CPR and ACLS required.


• Minimum 1 years in the OR


• Orthopedic surgery experience preferred
