Boston Medical Center Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high-quality patient care within their Perioperative Services unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and managing patient care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. A nursing degree (BSN preferred) and relevant certifications are required. This role offers a dynamic environment to enhance your nursing skills and positively impact patient outcomes.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Deliver nursing care in the Perioperative Services unit, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients
Communicate with various health care team members, patients, and their families
Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
Update and manage patient records
Enter and interpret computerized data/information
Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC’s nursing organization
Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred), Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years
REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Certification in basic life support (BLS)
CNRO certification (preferred)
Advanced Cardiac Life support(ACLS) certification (Preferred)
EXPERIENCE:
2 years' operating room experience required
3 years preferred
Must be experienced in a circulating role
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Relevant clinical experience and/or specialty, certification required for certain practice areas
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Physical ability to meet job responsibilities
Basic computer proficiency
Fluency in another language a plus
