Job Description

Operating Room / Perioperative Nurses provide surgical patient care by assessing, planning, and implementing nursing care before, during, and after surgery. They also serve as patient educators, circulating nurses, and/or scrub nurses. Circulating OR nurses work outside the sterile field within the operating suite, while scrub OR nurses handle and prepare instruments within the sterile field.

Requirements

• 24 months of recent experience in an Acute Care Surgery setting.
• Other requirements as determined by the client facility.

License/Certification

• Active RN License
• BLS & ACLS Certifications

Education

• Degree from an accredited nursing program

Additional Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
